Watco Concrex® Carbon Fibre is our original, best-selling floor repair mix. It's fast, permanent and strong and is formulated to last where ordinary cement mortars fail. Not only that, Watco Concrex® Carbon Fibre is virtually indestructible and at full strength is 8 times stronger than concrete. It's still easy to mix and apply, making it ideal for industrial heavy wear areas.
Curing time:
5-6 hours for Watco Concrex® Carbon Fibrer. For the added benefit of fast curing or the ability to cure in cold temperatures, see Concrex Cold Set® or Concrex Rapid®.
Thoroughly clean the damaged area. In the event of contamination with oils and grease, we recommend using a suitable cleaner, such as Watco Concroff
For very shallow repairs or screeding, Watco Tack Coat is essential to ensure maximum adhesion to the substrate.
Empty the epoxy resin and sand mixture into a Watco Concrex Mixing Tub. Create a well in the middle of the sand mixture, then pour in the curing agent, ensuring all the bottles are completely empty.
Wearing rubber gloves, mix the components together by hand until you get an evenly coloured light grey mixture.
Apply the mixed epoxy resin mortar to the damaged area. Making sure to compact the mixture into the hole.
Smooth over the surface with a trowel. To avoid marks or scratches on the surface, wipe the trowel with a damp cloth. This also prevents the mortar from sticking to the trowel.
